Spirit attachments aren’t the eerie ghost stories you might have heard growing up. They’re much closer to home.

I’ve seen spirits myself, and through my work, I’ve learned that spirit attachments are not always the same as spirit disturbances. They don’t always appear as dramatic events or hauntings.

Sometimes, they’re much subtler, quietly influencing your emotions, thoughts, or even your health.

What most people do not know is that the roots of these spirit attachments are in the emotional energies you carry like grief, anger, anxiety, fear, or deep traumas.

As I’ve shared in past letters, your traumas don’t just disappear with time. They linger in your energy field and shape it in ways you might not even notice.

So, why am I bringing this up to your attention?

Because, these spirit attachments might already be part of your reality without you realising it yet.

I’m not here to scare or convince you to believe in spooky stories or ideas that don’t make sense or lack scientific proof.

But this is one of the many root causes of physical ailments and life struggles that often gets overlooked not just by individuals, but by science and mainstream medicine too.

When something isn’t acknowledged by the systems we trust, it’s easy to ignore it in our own lives.

I can’t overlook it, though. Because my work is about offering a holistic approach to healing and well-being. If I avoided this just because it’s uncomfortable or unconventional, I wouldn’t be helping you address the full picture of what might be holding you back.

Let’s get to the heart of this.

What is Spirit Attachment?

Spirit attachment happens when an external energy (what we usually call spirits) connects to your energy field.

In spiritual studies terms, this is called the auric field or morphogenetic field. In science, they sometimes call it the biofield.

It’s like an invisible boundary that protects you, but it also responds to your emotions.

When you go through something intense, like trauma, and don’t fully process the emotions behind it, those emotions leave imprints on your energy field.

Think of these imprints as cracks. They weaken the field and create openings that attract external energies. These spirits are drawn to the unresolved pain or emotions you carry because they resonate with it.

Let me be clear: these spirits are not necessarily evil. They are simply attracted to the intensity of the energy, and they survive in that space.

It’s really just how energy works. When two energies resonate, they connect. It’s as simple as that.

The issue is, the longer these spirits linger, the more likely they are to create health and life challenges.

Spirit Clearing and Psychosis Recovery

Let me tell you about Alex.

Alex was a typical young adult, or so it seemed. But for years he suffered from severe psychotic episodes that no medication seemed to help.

His parents were desperate. When nothing else worked, they decided to take him to Dr. Malidoma Patrice Somé, a shaman from Africa. After eight months with Dr. Somé, Alex returned completely normal. He even stayed in Africa for a few more years before coming back to the US, where he went on to graduate from Harvard with a degree in Psychology.

How did this happen?

Dr. Somé was able to help Alex because shamans see mental illness differently.

This is how they view it:

  • People with mental illness are often deeply sensitive to the multidimensional nature of the universe.
This sensitivity makes their energy fields more open to external influences, like spirits from other realms. When these spirits try to merge with them, it can create symptoms like depression, panic attacks, psychosis, or hallucinations.

  • Sensitive people often soak up emotional energies from their surroundings. If they’re already carrying unresolved traumas or emotional issues, this combination amplifies their struggles, making their bodies and minds react more intensely.

What I’ve Seen in My Work

This understanding isn’t limited to shamans. In the more than 200 cases I’ve worked on over the years, I’ve seen this over and over:

Spirit attachments are not connected to the person as a whole. Instead, they latch onto each and every unresolved emotional issues or pain we are carrying.

That is why clearing traumas is always essential and crucial when addressing any health or life issue.

Why Science Ignores This?

The modern world loves to separate everything into neat little boxes. The mind, body, emotions, and spirit are treated as if they exist completely on their own, with no connection to each other.

But that’s just not true.

Ancient practices, like shamanism and even Jungian psychology, have always known this: these parts of us are deeply connected. You can’t separate one from the other without missing the bigger picture.

Let me share something fascinating with you.

Did you know about Dr. Shakuntala Modi? She’s a psychiatrist who stumbled onto something truly groundbreaking while using hypnotherapy with her patients.

In her book Remarkable Healings, she shares how, under hypnosis, many of her patients revealed spirits attached to their energy fields. These attachments were not random. They were directly linked to the patients’ emotional and physical struggles.

What’s incredible is that when Dr. Modi helped her patients release these spirits, many of them recovered. Some even got better after just a few sessions.

Her work challenges the conventional idea that health is purely physical or emotional. It shows us that there’s more to healing than what science typically acknowledges.

But why doesn’t conventional medicine talk about spirit attachments?

First of all, the term ‘spirit attachment’ itself sounds unscientific, doesn’t it? To many people, it probably feels more like folklore than fact. Science seems to stuck at “what can’t be quantified cannot be validated”.

Second, there’s this huge divide between science and spirituality.

This wasn’t always the case. In the past, science and spirituality were more connected, but as science began exploring non-tangible phenomena like the soul, it clashed with religious teachings. To avoid conflict, science stuck to what could be measured, leaving spiritual matters to religion.

That’s why even today, topics like spirit attachments are often dismissed. They don’t fit into science’s framework.

Take sleep paralysis as an example.

Science explains sleep paralysis as a disconnect between your mind and body during rapid eye movement (REM) sleep. That’s the technical definition. But in many cultures, sleep paralysis is seen as something deeper:

An energetic or spiritual disturbance that happens when you’re in a vulnerable state.

Could it be that the so-called “demons” of sleep paralysis aren’t hallucinations at all, but energetic imprints tied to unprocessed fear or trauma?

Shamans say that spirits are responsible for many illnesses and imbalances. If that’s true, wouldn’t it make sense for science to at least explore this idea instead of dismissing it outright?

When we ignore the spiritual dimension of health, we’re missing out on a huge piece of the puzzle. Addressing spirit attachments means going beyond the physical and digging into the emotional and energetic root causes.

The thing is, there are so many independent sources pointing to the existence of spirits and their ability to influence the living. That can’t just be a coincidence, can it?

If we’re being truly scientific, we should consider all the evidence, not dismiss it just because spirits can’t be seen with the naked eye.

Carl Jung, one of the most influential figures in modern psychology, thought in this way too. In a letter to a friend, he said:

"All things considered, all these metapsychic phenomena could be explained better by the hypothesis of spirits than by the qualities and peculiarities of the unconscious... I must of necessity be sceptical, but in the long run, I have to admit that the spirit hypothesis yields better results in practice than any other."

Jung’s openness reminds us that true pioneers are the ones who are willing to look beyond conventional thinking, especially when the evidence suggests there’s more to explore.

Signs of spirit attachment

People who are not sensitive and very healthy and fit, or very strong in the head, may also carry spirit attachments.

Have you ever seen someone in a fit of explosive anger?

It’s not the same as normal anger. Sometimes, their energy feels extraordinary: their eyes turn red, their face looks terrifying, and they can do things that seem impossible, like throwing heavy objects around.

This kind of destructive anger is often a sign of spirit influence. It’s not possession, and the person is still fully conscious.

What’s happening is that the anger energy in their field has found an outlet through their body. They can’t control the outburst because the energy is much bigger than them.

For others who have not encountered spirits and doesn’t have explosive anger or mental health issues, spirit attachments often show up in different other ways.

Some examples:

  • Persistent fatigue that doesn’t improve with rest
  • Unexplained lethargy or a constant feeling of being drained
  • Patterns of recurring negative experiences or "bad luck"
  • Emotional instability, including sudden mood swings or irritability
  • Difficulty focusing or maintaining mental clarity
  • Procrastination or resistance to taking action without a clear reason
  • Frequent nightmares or disturbing dreams
  • A pervasive sense of being "stuck" in life, despite efforts to move forward
  • Feeling a heavy or oppressive energy in your surroundings
  • Chronic pain or physical symptoms with no medical explanation
  • A tendency to attract unhealthy relationships or toxic situations
  • Overwhelming feelings of sadness, guilt, or shame that seem disproportionate

If more than three of the above sound familiar and you’ve tried various techniques and remedies without success, it may be time to explore the possibility of spirit attachments as part of your healing, health, or spiritual journey.

How to Break Free

All you need to know is spirit attachments can be cleared, and the key lies in addressing your emotional energy.

Here are 2 approaches you can begin exploring today:

1. Symptom management

Start with this. Practices like grounding, mindfulness, and protective rituals help create an energetic buffer. These techniques won’t solve the root cause, but they can reduce immediate vulnerabilities and help you feel more balanced.

For example, a simple grounding practice like walking barefoot on the earth can help you release accumulated energy.

If you’re looking for ways to manage energetic vulnerabilities, there are some modern approaches you can try. These are practical, easy to do, and can bring quick relief:

  • Breathwork: Techniques like heart-focused breathing (developed by HeartMath) are great for reducing stress and helping your energy feel more balanced and resilient.

  • Grounding Mats: These are amazing if you can’t always walk barefoot. They mimic the same effect, letting your body discharge excess energy.

  • Somatic Practices: Ever heard of Trauma Release Exercises (TRE)? They’re designed to release tension from your body. Even simple things like shaking your hands or feet can help reset your energy.

  • Visualization Apps: Some apps guide you through meditations where you imagine surrounding yourself with a protective light. It’s simple but surprisingly powerful for reinforcing your boundaries.

I love how these methods blend the modern and the practical. They can even work alongside traditional practices, giving you tools that feel grounded and backed by science.

2. Traditional or religious methods

Many cultures and religions have their own ways of addressing spirit disturbances.

Practices like smudging with sage, saying prayers, or performing ceremonial cleansings are often about shifting the external energy around you.

If you’re part of a faith group or resonate with these practices, they can be a meaningful place to start.

Here are a few other methods you might want to explore:

  • Sound Healing: Using singing bowls, tuning forks, or even your own voice (through chanting, mantras, or singing) to create vibrations that help break up stuck or attached energies.

  • Ritual Baths: These involve water mixed with herbs, salts, or specific intentions to cleanse and reset your energy field.

  • Fasting or Detoxing: Some traditions recommend cleansing your physical body as a way to strengthen and align your energy field.

  • Symbolic Objects: Items like crystals, protective amulets, or sacred geometry symbols can shift the energy around you or protect your energy field.

  • Ancestral Work: This involves honouring your lineage with rituals, offerings, or intentional healing of inherited trauma. It’s a powerful way to release attachments tied to your family line.

These practices can be incredibly helpful on their own. But from what I’ve seen, they’re most effective when combined with deeper emotional clearing. That’s where lasting results truly come from.

My Approach to Clearing Spirit Attachment

My journey into understanding spirits and how they affect our lives started in 1994.

At the time, my family home had serious spirit disturbances that went on for a few years. I won’t go into the details as they might be unsettling, but I will share this:

I have had firsthand experiences of seeing spirits. I’ve watched them pass through walls and seen people, completely unaware, walk right through the space where the spirits were.

My family turned to traditional rituals, and while the issue seemed fully resolved, I later discovered it wasn’t, because it was not properly or entirely dealt with.

The spirits simply escaped and the disturbances evolved into something else.

I’m not the kind of person who can just accept mystical solutions without deeper understanding. I need logical, proven methods that work. This was the drive that set me on a path to study spirits, their impact on health and emotions, and how to truly resolve these issues permanently. (It was a long journey of experiencing seeing and understanding the spirits themselves).

Over the years, I’ve refined my method to get to the heart of the matter and clearing the spirits without having to deal directly with the spirits or hurting anyone in the process. Healing should be gentle and be done by extracting the energetic root causes before addressing it at physical level.

One client I worked with had suffered for years from panic attacks and sleep paralysis. After detecting and clearing inherited traumas and spirit attachments at the root of their struggles, they experienced peaceful sleep and regained confidence in their life.

When these energies are cleared, people commonly notice these effects:

  • Calm and resilience returning.
  • The weight of the past lifting.
  • Mental fog clearing, making decisions easier.
  • Renewed energy replacing fatigue.

Sometimes, these attachments don’t even come from your own life. They can be tied to generational traumas.

Imagine carrying pain that isn’t even yours. It’s exhausting! But once these layers of stuck energy are released, your energy and strength can shine through naturally.

If this resonates, I encourage you to start with the methods I’ve shared earlier. They can bring real relief and are a great place to begin.

But if you’re still feeling stuck and want deeper support, I would be honoured to guide you. You can learn more about my work and reach out if it feels aligned for you.

It’s meant especially for those who’ve tried all kinds of methods but still feel stuck.

I hope these insights spark curiosity and remind you that transformation is always within reach.
